Holiday Times

Holidays are stressful times for families. Parents are confronted with holiday giving and the ensuing bills and kids often display behavior that is almost beyond forgiving or understanding. Maintaining a positive parenting outlook and action plan can tax anyone. Here are some rules of the road for this holiday season.

  1. Always think before reacting, if you are reacting to a situation you are not in control, hesitate, count to ten and move forward with your actions.

  2. Take this holiday vacation opportunity to spend some good time with the kids. Time that is devoted solely to a child shows their importance to you because your time is one of your most precious commodities.

  3. Think about your holiday traditions and rituals, as children age the things that the family does together every year becomes significant in the way that they will recall holidays and create the rituals and traditions for their families.

Happy Holidays.
